Another good week has passed in PA
Another good week has passed in PA. The fur kids got an awesome gift of toys from Treat Your Pets in Island Park, NY and their favorite God Mother, Karen Herbert is visiting with her hubby and came bearing loads of snacks :))) Rescue and the pups also received an awesome donation of a puppy play pen off their wish list from Kathleen Wentworth. If you would like to send our homeless animals a little something to make their days joyous, please click to visit their Wish List on Amazon.
The fur kids also pointed out that even tho still august, winter is right around the corner here in Northern PA. We are sharing a blanket drive for the babies.. even tho they sleep inside at night.. a nice blanket to cuddle up with is very appreciated so if you would like to participate in rescues blanket drive for our animals please email donnaruffrescue@gmail.com we have several volunteers available for pick up in PA, NH, NY, CT, NJ, VT, and our southern sister rescue is located in Georgia for pick up.
Checking in with Belle: Belle's foster daddy, refurbished an old dog house into Home Sweet Home for our little Belle. It turned out amazing and she truly loves it! No.. Belle does NOT sleep outside, trust us she would if she could, but it does give her a safe and comfy place from the elements to nestle when she's in her play area :) Belle continues to explore and enjoy life here in PA. The move from NH was very good for her and she's blossomed! It brings us great joy to see her so happy :)
Checking in on Peanut: Peanut was our "spotlight" girl last week.. and we are still hoping for an application on her.. Peanut is truly the poster fur kid for "best snuggles".. this 6yr old simply wants to cuddle w/you on the sofa .. she needs her own home so if you are a no dog household, w/older children and have A CAT.. yes, peanut is GREAT with cats, pls consider peanut.. you won't be sorry.. she'll shower you with kisses and cuddles. to foster or adopt, pls fill out an application at www.rdrne.org.
Our "Spotlight Pup" is Mila! Mila is a stunning female pit/boxer mix, tan and white..approximately 2 years old, altered, chipped and UTD on shots. Mila would do best in a home that is active, as our girl loves to play and be truly an active part of your family. She loves to run, play ball but does enjoy cuddle time as well :) With slow intro's with a non-alpha resident dog, Mila would do awesome. Rescue recommends no cats because of her energy level. If Mila sounds like the girl for you, please fill out an application at www.rdrne.org to foster or adopt this beauty. Mila is patiently waiting for her own special home... we hope that home is yours!!
We have to mention Clive, Clive is an amazing little 5 month old male brindle pit/mix puppy!!
Hedefinitely needs his own home.. Although he's enjoying his time with us, being so young, we would love to see him snuggled in a home. Clive is a beautiful boy with an amazing temperament. He's good with other dogs, kids and cats.. Please consider giving this sweet boy a temporary or forever home; fill out an application at www.rdrne.org.
The rest of the crew,

are all patiently waiting for their foster or forever homes. All of these fur kids deserve an opportunity to know a families love.. Please consider opening your heart and home to one of our homeless fur kids. Please email tereruffrescue@gmail.com for more information on how you could make a difference in a homeless animals life.
Working with these animals on a daily basis is a lot of hard work, but everyday we find ourselves smiling at their unconditional love and sheer joyful play. Dogs are so resilient, they make the best of non ideal situations. We learn so much from these animals every day :) If you would like to visit with rescue's dogs as a volunteer or have questions about the process of fostering or adopting, please email tereruffrescue@gmail.com. As always your advocacy for our animals is so appreciated! They are counting on us not to forget them.. WE PROMISE.. WE NEVER WILL, until each of the PA Crew find their own special place to call home!
See you next week.
